Dorothy E. Seagriff, 91, of Freeport, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on March 22, 2024. Dorothy was born in Natrona Heights, on July 9, 1932, a daughter of the late Mae (Hanna) and Harry Mansfield. Dorothy was a 1950 graduate of Freeport High School. She worked as a certified Unit Secretary at Allegheny Valley Hospital for 30 years, retiring to be a full time "Grammy". She was a past member of St. Mary, Mother of God Church in Freeport. She loved watching and supporting her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in all of their activities. She loved watching sports, especially the Steelers and Pirates. She was known to most as "Gram", "Grammy", or "Aunt Dot". She was so loved and will be missed by all. Dorothy is survived by her children, Joseph F. (Kathy) Seagriff, of Buffalo Twp., Edward P. Seagriff, of Freeport, Dorothy M. (Ronald) Croker, of Brackenridge, and David D. (Janet) Seagriff, of Allegheny Twp. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michele L (Bill) Pacek, James M. (Jolynn) Seagriff, III, Russell T. (Shannon R.) Seagriff, Christopher G. (Marissa) Seagriff, Melinda J. (Jason) Veatch, Randall E. (Kristina) Croker, John A. Yedlowski, Jr., Jacob D. (Lauren) Seagriff, and Bailey E. Seagriff, 15 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was a beloved Aunt to Mary (Bill) Keller of Oakmont, Timmothy S. (Lisa) Seagriff of Natrona Heights, Shawn P. (Aimee) Seagriff of Pittsburgh and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son James M. Seagriff, Jr. daughter in law Lida M. Seagriff, great grandson Colin Seagriff, and great-great granddaughter Gracelyn Seagriff, sister Doris Seagriff, brothers James and Richard Mansfield and niece Marcia McElfresh, Family and friends will be received on Tuesday March 26th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. in the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc. 524 High St. Freeport. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27th with Reverend Richard J. Kosisko, JCL officiating. Burial will be held in Ford City Cemetery, Ford City, PA.
