Edward Michael Moore, 80, of Sarver, passed away Saturday, December 28th, at the Butler VA Medical Center, Butler.
Edward was born in Butler, PA on November 14, 1944, a son of the late Martha (Peachman) and Albert Moore.
Ed was a proud US Army veteran, serving from 1965-1967. He worked at Pullman Standard as a welder. He was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Parish - St. Joseph worship site and the Saxonburg American Legion #683. He enjoyed cars, camping, tinkering and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janice (Gaydos) Moore, who he married October 23, 1965, his daughter, Annett (Gregory) Newman of Sarver, his son, Edward M. (Cecilia) Moore, II of Tuscon, AZ, 7 grandchildren; Kayla (Jacob) Robertson, Gregory (fiance, Jenna) Newman II, Julia Moore, Madelyn Moore, Aubrey Moore, Oliver Moore and Rebecca Moore, 2 great grandchildren, Lincoln and Miles Robertson, and siblings, Patricia (Robert) Cooper of Butler, Beverly Hutchsion of Butler, Barry (Patricia) Moore of Butler and Paul (Judy) Moore.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Chad Matthew Moore in 1973 and a brother, Albert Neil Moore.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Parish - St Joseph worship site, 315 Stoney Hollow Road, Cabot, PA . Everyone please meet at the church.
Interment with military honors will follow at the Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.
