Frederick Alvin Mangol, 78, of Buffalo Twp., passed away Monday, May 19, 2025. Fred was born in Natrona Heights, on March 10, 1947, a son of the late Dorothy Elizabeth (Weigel) and Peter James Mangol. He served his country in the Army Reserve Engineers during the Vietnam War. Fred enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and also meeting up every morning with his McDonald's coffee bunch.
Fred is survived by his wife of 46 years, Deborah (Acerni) Mangol; two daughters, Diana "Dee" (Chad) Mitchell, of Freeport and Aurora Mangol, of Natrona Heights.
He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Amanda (Rob), Zachary (Sandy), and McKenzie; 3 great grandchildren Evan, Amelia & Vada; his brother, Jerry (Ann) Mangol, of Carlisle; many beloved nieces and nephews and his 2 saint bernards, Ralph & Emmerson.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his 2 sisters, Linda McNeal and Bonnie Aller.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 22nd from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. Freeport. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, May 23rd at 10 a.m. with Rev. Barbara Stoehr officiating. Burial will held in Mt. Airy Cemetery in Natrona Heights.
