G. Dale Obringer, 80, of Freeport, passed away on Thursday, February 17th, peacefully, at Allegheny Valley Hospital. Dale was born in Natrona Heights on July 16, 1941, a son of the late Helen M. (Reedy) and George A. Obringer. Dale served in the Air Force and specialized in Air Support during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Evangel Heights Assembly of God in Sarver. He was an Inspector at Permaform in New Kensington for 23 years. He later worked at several Giant Eagle locations in the area where he was a meat cutter, bagger and cashier for 13 years. Dale is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barbara J. (Hancock) Obringer; and his sister Rosalie Coy, of Saxonburg. He is also survived by 2 nephews Kenneth Obringer, Jr. & Nicholas Obringer and 2 nieces Julia Obringer & Tanya Arlott. Besides his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth A. Obringer, Sr. There will be no public visitation. A private family burial will be held in Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dale's name may be made to the Evangel Heights Assembly of God 120 Beale Road Sarver, PA 16055.
