Gail L. Stauffer, 56, of East Deer Twp., passed away on Thursday, June 9th, surrounded by her family. Gail was born in Natrona Heights, on December 8, 1965, a daughter of the late A. Louise (Bouch) and Charles L. Wagner, Sr. She was a graduate of the Freeport Area High School Class of 1985. She received a bachelor's degree in science from Penn State. Gail was an accountant at Bank of New York Mellon in Pittsburgh for 24 years. She enjoyed camping, music and spending time with her grandkids. Gail is survived by her husband of 15 years, Daniel Stauffer; her daughter, Sharon Bennett, of Brackenridge; her son, DJ Bennett, of East Palatka, FL; 3 grandchildren, Noel, Jane and Ellie McGee; brother Richard (Nancy) Wagner, of Cabot; her sister Karen Johnston, of Buffalo Twp., and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Charles L. Wagner, Jr., brother-in-law, Jim Johnston, Sr. and her step-mother Jo Ann Wagner. The family would like to thank Gail's best friend Terri & Ed Sadowski for the love and support during Gail's illness. Terri was Gail's caregiver and the family is grateful for her nursing skills and opening their home to her. The family would also like to thank Cheyenne for her help. She was there to run errands for Gail and helped with her care. Family and friends will be received on Monday June 13th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. in the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc. 524 High St. Freeport. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 8 pm with Pastor Mark Wagner from Hannahstown Road Baptist Church in Cabot, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance 14 Pennsylvania Plaza Suite 2110 New York , NY 10122.
