Harry H. Smith, 89, of Allegheny Twp., passed away on Friday, August 23rd, at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. Harry was born in Parks Twp., PA on March 25, 1935, a son of the late Mary Jane (Klingensmith Smith) Schriver and Robert Smith. Harry served his country in the Army Reserves after the Korean War. He worked as a supervisor for NUMEC in Apollo for 20 years and then as a technician in the tech center at Alcoa in New Kensington for 15 years before retiring. He was a former member of Hebron Lutheran Church in Leechburg and was a member of the Masonic Lodge 577 in Leechburg. Harry enjoyed reading and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley Jean (Younkins) Smith and a son, Mark (Anita) Smith, of Erie and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his step father John E. Schriver, his brothers Robert Smith & Wilbert Smith and his step brothers Edward Schriver & James Schriver.
Visitation and services will be private and interment will be held at Brookland Cemetery, Leechburg.
