James J Donahue III (Pig), 74, of Buffalo Township passed away Sunday September 19th at Allegheny Valley Hospital. He was born August 3, 1947, the son of the late Ida Rebecca (Hecker) Bombyk and James J Donahue Jr. He proudly served his country and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force after serving two tours during the Vietnam War. James was a machine operator at Arconic in Cranberry Township for 16 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football, mowing grass, relaxing in the pool, and sitting on the back porch watching the wildlife. James was fondly known as Pig, Jim, Jimmy, Jamo, Bows and Unk. Jim was known for his witty comebacks and sense of humor. He was a great story teller and always filled the room with laughter. He was a much loved husband and father.
James is survived by his wife Lee Ann (Harvey) Donahue who he was with for 26 years. His son Brandon of Fenelton, his daughter Paige of Buffalo Township, his beloved dog Sadie; step mother Clara Donahue of New Kensington and four step sisters Judy (Terry) Felt, Charlene (Clifford) McKay, Trudy Chapman, and Barbara Wolfe and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received from 5-7 pm on Wednesday, September 22nd in the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc. 524 High St. Freeport. A private family graveside service will be held in Westminster Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
