James P. "Jim Bob" Stivers, 45, of Buffalo Township, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022, while surrounded by his family, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Jim was born in Natrona Heights, on May 14, 1976, a son of the late Maureen (McKenna) and Charles Stivers. He was a 1995 graduate of Freeport Area High School and was currently working as a driver and operator for Russell Standard in Mars. Jim enjoyed riding his Harley, hunting and hanging out with his family and friends.
Jim is survived by his wife of 24 years, Melissa A. (Hoover) Stivers; their children: Ashlee (Jeffery) Gumkowski, of Monroeville; Alec Stivers, of New Kensington; Katie Stivers, of Farmington, Pa. and James T. Stivers, of Buffalo Township; grandchildren, Jace Stivers and Madelyn Gumkowski; mother-in-law and father in law, Kathy and Ron Hoover; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Andy and Michaelene Hoover and Ron and Michelle Hoover; and many nieces and nephews; half-sister, Nancy Oche; and his close friend and adopted dad, Randy Dininger.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Christopher D. Stivers; half-sister, Tammy Veri Raimond; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, in the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc., 524 High St., Freeport, Pa.
