Jean Ann (Venderlic) Dudas

Jean Ann Dudas, 77, of Sarver passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023 while in the company of family, at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler. She was a longtime resident of Penn Hills. Jean was born in Natrona Heights, PA on September 24, 1945, a daughter of the late Helen (Lasinski) and John "Lefty" Venderlic. Jean Ann was a 1963 graduate of Freeport High School. After graduation she attended Indiana Teachers College. Jean , then took a secretarial position with the Penn Hills School District. She worked for the district for over 25 years and retired in 2008. Jean was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Buffalo Twp and was a member of the church's ladies guild. She enjoyed going out to dinner, card club and spending time with her family. Jean is survived by her husband of fourteen years, John P. Dudas of Buffalo Twp. Her two sons Evan and Paula Jenkins, of the South Side and Michael Jenkins, of Buffalo Twp. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Jessica Corbett and her two nephews; Brett & Jill Orris and Craig & Terri Orris. Jean Ann is preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Jenkins and her sister and brother-in-law, Arlene & Robert Orris Family and friends will be received on Sunday, June 11th from 5-7 pm in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. in Freeport, PA. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 12th at 10 am in the funeral home with Pastor Shawn Smith officiating. The burial will be held in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Penn Hills PA.
