Jean M. (Taylor) Rupert

Jean M. Rupert, 64, of Freeport, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 peacefully, at Armstrong Co. Memorial Hospital in Kittanning. Jean was born in Kittanning on April 17, 1956, a daughter of the late Frances (Steim) and Herbert Taylor. Jean was a 1974 graduate of Butler High School. She joined the US Army Reserves and was stationed with the 332d Engineer Company in Kittanning which is where she met her husband. Jean hard worked various jobs over her lifetime but always considered herself a Domestic Engineer. She was an active member of St. Mary, Mother of God Church in Freeport. Jean was ordained an Extra Ordinary Minister of Holy Communion with St. Mary's Church which gave her the ability to distribute communion to the shut-ins of her parish. Jean is survived by her husband of 42 years, R. Alan Rupert. Her two sons, Michael (Mandy) Rupert, of Vandergrift and Andrew D Rupert, of Freeport. Jean is also survived by her two sisters, Ellen (John) White of Butler and Kathy McAfee of Jacksonville, FL, mother in law Sara Rupert and brother in law Robert (Sue Elllen) Rupert all of Leechburg and several nieces and nephews She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, John Taylor, father in law, Richard Rupert and brother in law, Fred McAfee. At the family's request there will be no public visitation and private family burial service will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery in Freeport.
