Jeanne (Gesko) Rohland

Jeanne Gesko Rohland, 80, of Sarver, formerly of Brownsville & Jefferson, Pennsylvania, passed away on November 1, 2025, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 8, 1945, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Kriss) Gesko. Jeanne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy came from caring for her family and spending time together. She is survived by her children, Jack W. Rohland, Jr. (Vicki) and Jill Rohland-Lesko (Jeffrey); grandchildren Allison (Jason) Wetzel, Zachary Rohland, Joshua Rohland, Riley Rohland, and Mario Lesko; and great-grandchildren Owen and Lainey Wetzel. She is also survived by her sister Linda (Paul) Angel and niece Paula. Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband and high school sweetheart, Jack Sr., in 2011; her parents, John and Mary Gesko; and her sister, Sandra Bruckner. Jeanne’s life was filled with love, laughter, and generosity. She was known for her quick wit, sarcastic humor, and caring spirit. She loved vacationing at the beach and taking trips to casinos with her loving husband. A dedicated homemaker, Jeanne enjoyed crafting, decorating and also spent much of her time volunteering for her children’s activities and attending every one of their events when they were young. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the excellent staff at Concordia Lutheran Ministries—especially those in Miller Hall who affectionately called her “Jeanne Beanie”—and to the compassionate caregivers of Good Samaritan Hospice for their exceptional care and kindness. Friends and family will be received on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 12-2 pm at Redmond Funeral Home, Inc. Freeport, Pennsylvania 16229. A private funeral service for the family will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Jeanne’s memory to the Freeport Meals on Wheels, 211 4th Street, Freeport, PA 16229.
