Joan A. (Dietrick) Huth

Joan A. Huth, 91, of Freeport, passed away at Monday, January 20th, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries. Joan was born in Tarentum, PA on June 14, 1933, a daughter of the late Dorothy (Haney) Costan and Kenneth "Mickey" Dietrick. Joan was a Freeport High School graduate. She worked as a secretary for the Freeport United Methodist Church and was also a clerk at Camerlo's Deli. She was a lifelong member of the Freeport United Methodist Church and worked the elections for many years. Joan enjoyed coloring, puzzles and playing cards, especially 500 rummy. Joan is survived by a daughter, Marsha (Greg) Westendorf, of S. Buffalo Twp., a son, Kevin Huth of Surfside Beach, SC, 3 grandchildren, Melissa (Daniel) Swartzlander of S. Buffalo Twp., J.R. (Leslie) Westendorf of S. Buffalo Twp. and Kayla Huth of Phoenix, AZ, great grandchildren, Clayton, Calvin and Dalton Westendorf and Carter Bishop, a sister, Vicki (Bob) Beech of Sunset Beach, NC and brother Peter Costan of Sunset Beach, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Huth who passed away June 30, 2004. Friends will be received on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 5-7 pm at the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc., 524 High Street, Freeport. A prayer will follow at 7 pm. Private interment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery.
