Joann (Young) Singer

Joann Singer, 93, of Sarver, passed away Monday, June 30, 2025 at the Assisted Living at Rosebrook. Joann was born in West Monterey, PA on December 20, 1931, a daughter of the late James Young and Gertrude (Keefer) Young. She was a book keeper at Bures Ford in South Buffalo Twp. for 16 years. Joann was a lifelong member of the Freeport United Methodist Church, serving as treasurer. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She is survived by her children, Linda (Nick) DeMeno of Winfield Twp., Maryann Horn of Natrona Heights, William (Cathy) Singer of Buffalo Twp., and John Paul (Diana) Singer of Freeport, 11 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one on the way. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William P. Singer, who passed away in 2020 and three brothers, James, Robert and Donald Young. Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 3-7 pm at the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc., 524 High Street, Freeport. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 11 am at the Freeport United Methodist Church, 211 Fourth Street, Freeport with Pastor Darlene Ryniec officiating. Everyone please meet at the church. Private burial will be held at Freeport Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Freeport United Methodist Church, 211 Fourth Street, Freeport, PA 16229.
