John W. "Billy" Mailki, 79, of Freeport, passed away Monday, March 31, 2025, at the Embassy of Saxonburg. He was born in Tarentum, PA on June 14, 1945, a son of the late Ida Mae (Overbeck) and William V. Mailki. Billy was a 1965 graduate of Freeport High School and was a US Navy veteran. He was the owner/operator of Mailki Plumbing and Heating. He was a member of the Freeport United Methodist Church. Billy enjoyed working, fishing and Lionel trains. He is survived by five sisters, Charyl Peffer, Amy Delp, Linda (Dean) Snell, Amber Peck and Rachel (Rich) Dehus, three brothers, David (Lori) Mailki, Ronald Mailki and Eric Mailki and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin sister, Betty Jane Bonner. Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 10 am - 12 noon at the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc., 524 High Street, Freeport. A funeral service will follow at 12 noon at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Greiner of Harvest Community Church, officiating. Interment with military honors conducted by the Vandergrift Veterans Honor Guard will follow at Freeport Cemetery.
