Joseph M. Blewett

Joseph M. Blewett, 44, of Brackenridge, PA, passed away on January 1, 2021 while surrounded by his family, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. Joe was born in Natrona Heights on August 5, 1976, a son of Martha (Hamilton) Blewett, of Mt. Pleasant, SC and the late Gary W. Blewett. Joe was a 1994 graduate of Freeport Area High School. He was employed as a technician at Horizon Information Services in Glenshaw for the past 13 years. Joe had also worked for the Chef & I Catering in Freeport. Joe enjoyed playing deck hockey, soccer, playing the game "Destiny" with his friends and spending time with his family. He attended Guardian Angels Parish in Natrona Heights Joseph is survived by his wife, Ashlee R. (Ross) Blewett. His daughter, Arwen B. Blewett, and son, Lucas E. Blewett all of Brackenridge. Two sisters, Bonnie (Dennis) Hill, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; Victoria Blewett, of Mt. Pleasant, SC and his brother, James Blewett, of Freeport. Joe is also survived by his mother and father in law, Jane & Roger Ross of Natrona Heights, his brother in law, Rodney (Laura) Ross of Lower Burrell and numerous nieces and nephews. At the family's request there will be no public visitation. A private family funeral service will be held and Joe will be buried in Mt. Airy Cemetery.
