Joseph A. Hogan, 50, of the Boggsville section of Sarver, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia in Cabot. Joe was born in Norfolk, VA on January 14, 1971, a son of the late Lola R. (Ruffner) and William J. Hogan. Joe attended Freeport Area High School and was a 1989 graduate of Lenape Vo-Tech School where he studied drafting and design. He received his Associate's Degree in Architecture at Pittsburgh Technical Institute. Joe worked as an independent industrial design contractor. Joe was a patron of the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival, where he met his wife. He enjoyed Japanese Anime style cartoons, was a huge Star Wars fan and enjoyed the Minion characters.
Joe is survived by his wife of 5 years, Melissa Kondrich-Hogan; his sister, Lynanne A. Hogan; brother, David A. Hogan; and niece, Angeline Jo "A.J." Palmer, all of the Boggsville section of Sarver. He is also survived by cats, Selina & Mimi.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Kondrich.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, March 18th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. in Freeport. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, March 19th at 10 a.m. with Pastor Eric Damon officiating. Burial will be private.
