Joseph Dean Lang, 48, of Freeport, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Natrona Heights, PA on July 7, 1976, a son of Lawana (Donahue) Porter, of Freeport and the late Larry Lang. Joe graduated from Freeport High School in 1995 and worked for over 25 years at Philips Respironics. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, trapping and going to camp. His passion was his family. He especially loved watching and supporting his sons and being involved in their sports, especially hockey and football. He was an assistant coach for his son’s hockey teams at the Armstrong Arrows, Steel City Renegades and the Pittsburgh Vengeance. But more importantly, a proud father of all of their accomplishments. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Jessica (Ishman) Lang, who he married June 7, 2008, his two sons, Tyler Lang and Hunter Lang, both of Freeport, his brothers, Josh Lang (Jen) of Conemaugh and Zeke Porter (Tiffany) of Freeport, his father in law, Richard Ishman of Kittanning, mother in law, Cyndie Ishman of Freeport, brother in law, Dan (Angie) Ishman of Freeport and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step father, William "Bill" Porter and his sister in law, Shannon Ishman. Friends will be received on Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 1-3 and 5-7 pm at the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc., 524 High Street, Freeport. Funeral services will be private.
