Joyce (Ruffner) Rowley

Joyce Rowley, 87, of South Buffalo Twp., passed away on, Tuesday, January 18, 2022, while surrounded by her family, at Magnolia Place of Saxonburg. Joyce was born in Freeport, on May 14, 1934, a daughter of the late Margaret (George) and Paul A. Ruffner. She was the widow of James R. Rowley who passed in 2018. Joyce was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed craftwork including painting, making Christmas tree ornaments, sewing, flower arrangements, and most recently making fairy gardens. She loved gardening, camping, collecting Vaseline glass and most importantly spending time with her family. Joyce is survived by two daughters, Judy A. Bologna, of Buffalo Twp.; Jane E. (Kevin) Harbison, of Brookville; Four sons, James P. Rowley, of South Buffalo Twp.; Jeff R. (Cathy) Rowley, of Freeport; John R. (Tracey) Rowley, of Ford Cliff; Joe A. (Marlene) Rowley, of Freeport. 10 grandchildren and great grandchildren and her brother, Andrew "Tink" (Nancy) Ruffner of Freeport. Joyce is preceded in by her parents, husband, grandson, Tyler Glaister, son in law, John Bologna. Two sisters, Helen Baldwin, Lola Hogan and 2 infant brothers. Family and friends will be received on Saturday January 22nd from 1-3 pm in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. in Freeport, PA. Funeral service will be held following the visitation at 3 pm with Pastor Sally Jo Snyder officiating. Burial will be held in Freeport Cemetery Freeport.
