Judith A. Markwell, 80, of the Laneville section of Freeport, passed away on Sunday, October 17th, peacefully, at her residence. Judith was born in New Kensington , on June 14, 1941, a daughter of the late Virginia C. (Elwood) and William D. Crutchman. She was precieved in death by her beloved husband Richard S. Markwell, Sr., who passed away in 1998. She was a member of Center United Methodist Church in Fawn Twp. She worked as a collator at Paper Craft in Blawnox and then a cashier/stock person at Big Lots in Natrona Heights. She was a loving and caring person, always caring for others before herself. Judith enjoyed roller skating, watching auto racing, bowling, playing bingo, working, camping, and spending time with her kids, grand kids and great grand kids. She also really enjoyed going to sporting events with her great grand sons. Judith is survived by two daughters, Wanda (Allen) Thompson & Linda (Randy Greenblatt) Fouse; and son, Richard S. (Teresa) Markwell, Jr. She is also survived by grandson Billy Fouse, granddaughters Kristina (Tim) Anderson, Chelsea Mae (Isaac) Thompson, and Kara Marie (Travis) Everett; great grandsons Liam, Owen & Brayden Samples; great granddaughter Vivian Mae Thompson; and sister Shirley Fouse. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Lottie Mae Hilliard, an infant son, nephew Bill Henry and 2 nieces Jennifer Meckley & Kayla Swartz. Family and friends will be received on Friday, October 22nd from 5-7 pm in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. Freeport. A funeral service will be held following the visitation at 7 pm with Pastor Ginny Gadsby officiating. Burial will be held in McVille Union Cemetery in Freeport. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Freeport Area Library Association 428 Market Street. Freeport, PA 16229
