Karen Ann Egan, 81, of Natrona Heights, passed away Friday, October 11th, at her residence.
Karen was born in Leechburg, PA on November 1, 1942, a daughter of the late Catherine "Casey" (Henderson) and Roy E. Blair.
Karen was a graduate of Freeport High School & the Pittsburgh Hospital Nursing School. She worked as a registered nurse at Harmarville Rehab and home health, retiring after 42 years. She was a member of Guardian Angels Parish- Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Natrona Heights. She enjoyed reading, bird watching and walking. Karen was happiest when spending time with her family and friends.
Karen is survived by her son, Joseph M. Egan of Natrona Heights, two daughters, Lynda (Tom) Eng of Ben Avon and Laura Grans of Pittsburg, CA, four grandchildren, Katelyn and Timmy Eng and Casey and Claudia Grans, two brothers, Michael Blair and Patrick (Cindy) Blair, both of Ft. Myers, FL, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Egan, who passed away in 2014, her brother and sister in law, James and Kathy Blair and a sister, Mary Lou Blair.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc., 524 High Street, Freeport.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 10 am at Guardian Angels Parish - Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church with Rev. John B. Lendvai as celebrant.
Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
