Kathryn H. “Kathy” Blair, 81 of Sarver, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024. She will be missed by her loving family.
Born July 19, 1942 in Milton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Warren and Mary Jane (Oyster) Trego.
Kathy was a graduate of Sunbury High School. She worked as a health unit coordinator for UPMC St. Margaret. She was a well-known swim coach and manager for the Freeport Pool. Kathy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport, serving on church council and playing in the bell choir. She was an active participant in the Butler Cubs team of the Senior Olympics and was very proud of her over-80 basketball medal in the 2023 Summer Senior Olympics. Her favorite activities included enjoying her grandchildren, skiing and boating.
Surviving her is her loving husband, James T. Blair, who she married December 28, 1963, her sons, Chris (Amy) Blair of Ewing, New Jersey and Bart (Cindy) Blair of Bridgewater, NJ, her daughter, Yvette (James) Beck of S. Buffalo Twp., 8 grandchildren; B.J., Brittany, Luke, Hope, Blair, Nikki, Bridget, and Joy, and sister, Linda Gula of Natalie, PA and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Jeanne Prutisto and Carolyn Heywood.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc, 524 High Street, Freeport.
Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 10-11 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 323 Fifth Street, Freeport. A funeral service will follow at 11 am with Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Truscott officiating.
