Keith G. Keener, 84, of South Buffalo Twp., went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, January 18, 2026. Keith was born in Freeport, on June 28, 1941, a son of the late Raymond and Olive (Shaw) Keener. He was a 1960 graduate of Freeport High School. Keith served in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968. He worked at Associated Ceramics in Sarver. Keith loved cutting grass, tinkering in his tool shed, and spending time with his family and grandkids. He was known for always goofing around and having fun. Keith is survived by his three sons, Brian (Lisa) Keener, of Worthington; Thomas Keener, of South Buffalo Twp.; and Greg (Megan) Keener, of Fawn Twp.; and three grandchildren, Dylan, Drew and Evelyn Keener. Keith is also survived by two brothers, Larry Keener and Bill Keener. Besides his parents, Keith is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Charlotte D. Keener; his sisters, Myrtle Friend, Mary Lou Bouch, Margaret Turko, Eleanor Emery, Donna Keener, and Janet Scott; and his brothers Kenneth, Donald, and Richard Keener. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. in the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc. 524 High St. Freeport. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Bible Church, 386 Iron Bridge Road in Freeport with Pastor Patrick Baggett officiating. Keith's final resting place will be Mt. Airy Cemetery in Natrona Heights.
