Kenneth A. Obringer, Jr.

Kenneth A. Obringer, Jr., 52, of Freeport, PA, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022, while in the company of family, at his home. Ken was born in Natrona Heights on March 24, 1970, a son of the late Beryl J. (Kokenda) and Kenneth A. Obringer, Sr. He was a 1988 graduate of Freeport Area High School and received his LPN degree from Lenape Technical School. He was employed as an LPN at Harmarville Rehab for over 20 years. Ken loved to fish. If he was not working, he was fishing. His family and friends always said that "Ken would fish in a puddle.” He enjoyed fishing the point in Freeport and on Lake Erie. He was a former member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church Natrona Heights in PA. Ken is survived by his wife of 23 years, Jeannine L. (Wetmore) Obringer. His three daughters, Lauren Murray, of Clarion, PA; Courtney Obringer & Joel Jordan, of South Buffalo Twp. and Emily Obringer, of Freeport; His grandchildren, Jacob, Addilynn, Kendall, and Audrey. Ken is also survived by his sister, Julia Obringer, of Buffalo Twp., and his brother, Nicholaus & Laura Obringer, of Saxonburg. His uncle, Gale Obringer, Nieces, Alyssa and Paige Obringer, Samantha (Cole) Furer, Grace Obringer and nephew, Darius Obringer. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, September 14th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. in Freeport. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, September 15th at Greenwood Memorial Park in New Kensington, PA. with Pastor Eric Damon officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Freeport Sportsmen's Club 197 Horseshoe Dr., Freeport PA
