Lois J. Rusz, 88, of Freeport, passed away on Friday, November 26th, peacefully with her daughter by her side at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights. Lois was born in Kittanning on January 21, 1933, a daughter of the late Mildred (Bowser) and Frederick Brown. She was the widow of Ernest D. Rusz who passed in 2011. She worked in the kitchen office at Allegheny Valley Hospital. Lois also worked in telemarketing for Reese Brothers in Monroeville and baby-sitting at All Day Nursery in Freeport. She was a faithful member of United Presbyterian Church of Freeport, PA 16229. Lois was a past Brownie Leader for Troop 86 in Freeport. She enjoyed crochet, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. Lois is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Eshenbaugh and Cindy Black, both of Freeport. Grandchildren, Ronald Eshenbaugh and Shawni Mason, Michelle (Jason) Beck, Kimberly Crooks, Joshua Farr and Nikki Taladay. 14 great grandchildren, Stephanie, Jackalynn, Paul, Hunter, Myranda, Joey, Keely, Brittany, Zach, Brody, Dustin, Mason, Jonas and Kajaleana, 3 great great-grandchildren, Delilah, Prezleigh and Nickolas. Lois is also survived by a sister, Sallie Skarda, of Illinois and a brother, David (Frances) Brown, of Natrona. In addition to her parents and husband, Lois is preceded in death by her sons, Ronald and Gary Rusz. Daughter, Diane Rusz. Brother, Frederick Brown and her sisters, Joyce Czyzykiewicz and Bobbye Zandarski Family and friends will be received on Sunday December 5, 2021 from 4-7 pm in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc., 524 High St. in Freeport. A private family funeral service will be held and burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery Natrona Heights, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
