Lola F. (Pofi) Bono

Lola F. Bono, 96, of Buffalo Twp., passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022 while in the company of family, at Logan Place in Lower Burrell. Lola was born in Freeport, on February 13, 1926, a daughter of the late Amabile (Bianchi) and Pomponio Pofi. She was the widow of John P. Bono who passed in 2016. Lola was a wonderful wife, mother, homemaker and had been an active member of her church, the St. Mary, Mother of God Church in Freeport. Lola loved entertaining friends and family at her home and she and her husband loved to go dancing together. Lola is survived by her daughter, Amy & Bob Holbein, Sr., of Buffalo Twp., her son Tom & LuAnn Bono, of Buffalo Twp., and her brother, Pomponio Pofi, of Galloway, NJ, all her nieces and nephews, her family, the Suwan's. and her granddog Lollypop. She is preceded in death by her 2 brothers, Benny M. & Henry J. Pofi and 4 sisters, Mary Ranieri, Ada Bertino, Jean Camerlo and Elsie Cardamone, niece Maria Camerlo, great nephew Joey Becker, granddaughter Sasi Suwan, and her granddogs, Creampuff, Kotton Kandi, Jake & Nellie. At the family's request there was no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary, Mother of God Church in Freeport, PA with Father Edward Volz O.S.P officiating. A private family burial will take place in Mt. Airy Cemetery. We would like to thank Logan Place and Monarch Hospice for all their love, compassion and caring they gave to Lola and her family. She loved each and every one of them.
