Mabel M. (Todd) Eibel

Mabel M. Eibel, 100, of Rocky Mount, NC, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 peacefully, at Lodge At Rocky Mount. Mabel was born in Freeport on January 26, 1923, a daughter of the late Ruth (Keener) and Park J. Todd. She was the widow of John A. Eibel who passed in 1960. Mabel was a graduate of Freeport High School. Following the death of her husband, she attended secretarial school and began work at Busch Company, and promoted to Office Manager. She was a resident of the Pennridge Community in Penn Hills, PA for over 70 years and an active member of Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church during that time. Mabel loved playing cards and watching sports on TV. She was an avid follower of Penn Hills High School sports for many years. Mabel is survived by her daughters, Jan Gwaltney (Buddy) of Spring Hope, NC and Marcia Dicken (Edgar)of Morgantown, WV, sister Suellen Walters of Warren, OH, 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, son-in-law Leslie J. Boone, special niece, Maxine Christie, and sisters in law, Betty and Honey Todd. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by daughter, Carol Boone, sisters, Kathryn Christie, Dorothy Bauwin Goehring, Frances Shields, and brothers George and John Todd.  Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, April 11th at 10 am in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. in Freeport, PA. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home following the visitation at 11 am with Rev. Leslie Boone officiating. Burial will be held in Slate Lick Cemetery, Kittanning, PA.
