Marjorie M. (McGuire) Christy

Marjorie M. Christy, 72, of Brackenridge, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at UPMC Magee Womens Hospital, Pittsburgh. Marjorie was born in Natrona Heights on June 23, 1953, a daughter of the late Virginia May (Cramer) and Harold V. McGuire. Marjorie was a 1971 graduate of Freeport High School and the Bradford School of Business. She was employed as a customer service representative for PNC Bank. After retirement, she worked at the service desk at Giant Eagle in Sarver. She loved to watch Pittsburgh sports, especially hockey and football. Marjorie is survived by two daughters, Michelle Russell of Natrona Heights and Pamela (Brad) Rowan of Natrona Heights, grandchildren, Connor, Wyatt, Sage, Kyanne, Passion, Hannah and Skylar, her former husband of 30 years, Thomas L. Christy of Sarver, her sister, Linda A. McGuire of Brackenridge and brother, John R. McGuire of Tampa, Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas M. Christy, who passed away on September 18, 2022. Friends will be received on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc., 524 High Street, Freeport. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 10 am at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Truscott officiating. Burial will be held in Sarverville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Redmond Funeral Home, Inc. 524 High Street Freeport, PA 16229 to help with funeral costs.
