Misty Faith Adamik

Misty Faith Adamik, 38, of Freeport, went with Jesus on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. Misty was born March 19, 1985, in New Kensington, a daughter of Joan C. (Lincoln) Adamik, of Fawn Township, and the late James J. Adamik. Misty was of the Christian faith. She was a 2003 graduate of Highlands High School, where she was a majorette, member of the swim team and the volleyball team. She studied at Lenape School of Nursing and at Slippery Rock University. She graduated at the top of her class and received her nursing degree from Lenape School of Nursing in 2007. She worked in the nursing field for a number of years. In 2005, she entered the Miss USA pageant in the state of Pennsylvania. Misty enjoyed cooking, camping, swimming, fishing, boating, water skiing and tubing. Her true love was for her children, and she became a stay-at-home mom after they were born. Misty is survived by her two children, Grayson Paul Adamik and Arya Faith Valenti; Arya's father, Leonard E. Valenti Jr., with whom she lived when she went to the Lord; and her brothers, Shane J. and Sue Adamik, of Fawn Township, Clay J. and Adrienne Adamik, all of Fawn Township. Misty is also survived by her nephew, Zachary Adamik; niece, Lillie Adamik; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends. She was preceded in death by her father, James J. Adamik, who passed just last year; her maternal grandparents, Charles and Lillie (Kennedy) Lincoln; and paternal grandparents, Joseph and Clara (Obringer) Adamik. The family would like to thank everyone who prayed for Misty and her family. Misty is with Jesus now and will be with everyone again in Heaven. Family and friends will be received from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 7, in the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 High St. in Freeport. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 8, in the funeral home, with Pastor Bob Waterloo officiating. The burial will be held in Freeport Cemetery.
