Nancy DeVore

Nancy DeVore, 77 of South Buffalo Township, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024 at the Butler Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born September 1, 1946 in Kittanning, PA she was the daughter of the late Frank Livengood and Virginia (Bowser) Livengood.

Nancy was a 1964 graduate of Freeport High School, where she sang in the chorus and played piano. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church. Nancy was a passionate piano player and loved to play at church and sing in the choir. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are her loving sons, Van P. (Dawn) Vasbinder of Clover, SC, and Donald J. (Lisa) DeVore of S. Buffalo Twp., 5 grandchildren, Thomas P., Van Allen, Krystal D. and Stephanie M. Vasbinder and Sara J. DeVore, and great grandchildren, Sawyer, Parker, Colden, Paisley, Harper and twins on the way.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald DeVore.

Friends will be received on Monday, May 6, 2024 from 4-7 PM at the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc., 524 High Street, Freeport.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 11 AM at the Union Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Hill officiating.

Burial will follow at McVille Union Cemetery.
