Nipapan Suwan

Dr. Nipapan Suwan, 82, of Buffalo Twp., passed away on Sunday, February 23rd, at her residence. Dr. Suwan was born in Bangkok, Thailand, later immigrating to the US to complete her medical training. She was a pediatrician in Freeport, PA for close to 35 years, practicing at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights. She enjoyed spending time with her family, talking with friends, taking care of her beloved dogs, knitting and gardening. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dr. Sakdidej Suwan; her daughter, Charlene Suwan; her son, Dr. Sarun "Pap" (Sara) Suwan; grandchildren Lauryn, Jacob & Ryan; and her brother, Buntoon Raksphao. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Sasi Suwan, and two siblings. A private family memorial service will be held.
