Patricia (Schreckengost) Buchkoski McGuigan

Patricia Schreckengost Buchkoski McGuigan, 72, of Natrona Heights, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at her residence.

Pat was born in Freeport on June 27, 1953, a daughter of the late Wanda L. (Howard) and Donald F. Schreckengost.

She was the widow of Thomas M. McGuigan.

Pat loved socializing and playing games, and she especially enjoyed spending time on her iPad. She was the pinnacle of her family, cherishing every moment with them and her granddogs. Known affectionately as “Mama Pat” to her children’s friends and “Aunt” to so many others, she had a remarkable way of making everyone feel at home. If you entered her life as a stranger, you quickly left as family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Pat is survived by a daughter, Erica (fiancé, Jason Bowser) Myers and a son, Tom (Amber) Buchkoski. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Ayden and Brynlee; brother, Robert (Diane) Schreckengost, step son, Brian McGuigan, step daughter, Amy Manifold, step brother, Dale Sarver, Jr. step sister, Cindy (Lad) Barczykowski, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Susan G. McLaughlin and Kathie Eberle.

Friends will be received on Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 3-7 pm at the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc., 524 High Street, Freeport. A funeral service will follow at 7 pm.

Private interment will be held at Brookland Cemetery.
