Patty R. Baker, 86, of South Buffalo Twp., passed away peacefully on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Quality Life Services in Sarver. Patty was born in Apollo on April 6, 1936, a daughter of the late Veda P. (Stitt) and Richard L. Rumbaugh, Sr. She was the widow of her high school sweetheart, Boyd E. Baker. who passed in 2021. Patty was a 1954 graduate of Apollo High School and a 1957 graduate of Allegheny General School of Nursing where she president of her class. She worked as a registered nurse at several places including United Cerebral Palsy of Western PA, Allegheny Valley Hospital and Colonial Clinic in Sarver. Patty enjoyed baking wedding cakes, reading, flower gardening, riding horses, embroidery, paint-by-numbers, sketching and spending time with her family. Patty also volunteered with the South Buffalo Vol. Fire Dept's Ladies Auxiliary. She attended the First Church of God of Kittanning. Patty is survived by her children, Kevin E. Baker, of Marienville, Karen L. and Joe Zambotti, Jr., of Kittanning and David K. Baker and Mary Weyer of Plum Creek Twp. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Nicole & Cliff Barton, Joseph & Nicole Zambotti, III, Natalie & Tyler Cotherman, Kyle & Brianna Baker, Paige Baker and Joshua Weyer. Seven great grandchildren, Brooke R. and Quinn R. Barton, Joey IV, Cole W. and Joselynn A Zambotti, Cade T. and Revin Boyd Cotherman. In addition to her parents and husband, Patty was preceded in death by her brother, Richard L. Rumbaugh, Jr. At Patty's request there will be no public visitation. A Memorial Service will be held on September 18, 2022, at 3 pm in the First Church of God, 13374 Route 422 in Kittanning, PA with Pastor Nick Wilson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to South Buffalo Vol. Fire Dept 382 Iron Bridge Rd. Freeport, PA 16229, or First Church of God, 13374 US Route 422, Kittanning, PA 16201.
