Paul D. Wonders, 58, of West Palm Beach, FL, formerly of Freeport passed away Monday, February 5, 2024, peacefully at his home. Paul was born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 6, 1965, a son of the late Bronwen (Davies) Wonders and Harry William Wonders, Sr. Paul was a 1983 graduate of Freeport Area High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Army. He served with the 35l Avionics & Navigation Engineers in the 8th Army Command, 101st Airborne Division. After his service to his country, Paul returned to Freeport. He then received an associate degree from Computer Tech, a bachelor’s degree from Robert Morris and MBA from Duquesne University. He was also currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity at DeVry University. Paul worked in various positions with several companies throughout his career. He was employed at Giant Eagle, Inc. for 14 years as Sr. Manager, Infrastructure Service Strategy & Operations. He then was a Senior Program/Project Manager at The Bank of New York Mellon. Paul was known for his warm heart, sense of humor and enduring spirit. He enjoyed golfing, camping, fishing, kayaking and was a big Pittsburgh Steeler and Penguin Fan. Paul is survived by his wife, Claudine (Cardinali) Wonders. Their 4 children, Zachary Wonders, Madeline Wonders, Tyler Wonders and Hannah Wonders. His siblings, Harry William Jr.. & Mary Beth Wonders,, Rebecca & Jim Peli and Laura & Tim Solla. Paul is also survived by his nieces, Sarah Wonders, Elizabeth Wonders, Shelby Solla and nephew, James Peli. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Let us celebrate the life he lived and the love he shared. Memorial Service will be held from 2-4 pm on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the Laube Hall Freeport Room on the lower level in Freeport. We welcome family and friends to attend to share fond memories in honor of Paul.
