Obituary

Randall James Brubaker, 57 of Delmont affectionately known as Randy, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on April 10, 2023, in Delmont. Born on June 29, 1965, in Allegheny Twp, he was the son of the late Judith and James Brubaker. Randy lived most of his life in Washington Twp. Randy was a proud Kiski Area graduate who went on to have a successful career in carpentry. His skilled craftsmanship and attention to detail earned him the admiration and respect of his peers. Throughout his life, Randy was an active and contributing member of his community, and he was often found lending his carpentry skills to local projects and churches. He volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and helped rebuild churches in the south after Hurricane Katrina. Randy enjoyed hunting and loved spending time at his camp. Randy was a loving, courageous, and wise man who was dedicated to his family. His unwavering love and support were felt by all who knew him. He is survived by his children, Jessica Brubaker, Matthew Brubaker (fiancé Heather Gaspari), and Shane Brubaker; his grandchildren, Camryn Brun and Owen Brun; His brother, Robert Brubaker and sister, Jodi & Doug King. He is preceded by his parents, Judith (McNabb) and James Brubaker. In his personal life, Randy was known for his quick wit, infectious laughter, and his ability to make others feel at ease. His warm and welcoming nature made him a beloved friend to many. He enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors at his camp, where he found solace, replenishment, and inspiration. Randy often shared his love for nature with his family and friends, leading them on memorable adventures. Randy's courage and strength were evident in the face of adversity. Throughout his life, he faced many challenges, but he always met them head-on with determination and resilience. His unwavering faith in the face of hardship was a testament to his character and a source of inspiration to those who knew him. His wisdom and guidance have left an indelible mark on the lives of his family and friends. Randy's ability to listen, offer sound advice, and share his own experiences made him a trusted confidant and mentor to many. His legacy of love, courage, and wisdom will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers who provided comfort and care to Randy during his final days. Their compassion and dedication will always be remembered.
