Raymond L. Divelbiss, Sr.

Raymond L. Divelbiss, Sr, 93, of Freeport passed away on December 10, 2020 peacefully, at Platinum Ridge Center for Rehabilitation & Healing in Brackenridge. Ray was born in Marianna, PA on November 24, 1927, a son of the late Isabella (Polluck) and Chester Divelbiss. He was the widower of Dorothy K. (Ross) Divelbiss who passed in 2007. Ray served in the U.S. Army during WW II. after the war he took a position in the scheduling department at PPG Industries in Creighton and as a member of the Freeport Police from 1960 to 1970. He was a member of United Presbyterian Church of Freeport. Ray was a member and past president of the Freeport Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed hunting, reloading, fishing ,reading and geneology. In his younger years he loved to go dancing and traveling with his wife. Raymond is survived by his daughter, Dorothy (Edward) Baer, of New Bethlehem and their two children Michael and Zenobia, the children of his late daughter Marjorie (Daniel and Abigail Derr) and his son, Raymond L. and Christine Divelbiss of Freeport and three children Jonathan, Angelica and Mercedes. He is also survived by one sister, Ray is preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Marjorie Ann Derr, 5 brothers and 5 sisters At the family's request there will be no public visitation .
