Raymond P. Waldenville, 81, of South Buffalo Twp., passed away on Tuesday, June 24th, at the Embassy of Saxonburg. Ray was born in Leechburg, on July 27, 1943, a son of the late Goldie R. (Mosbaugher) and Jesse R. Waldenville Jr. He was a member of Abundant Joy Fellowship in Tarentum. Ray retired as a custodian at South Buffalo Elementary School in Freeport.
Ray was a faithful disciple of Jesus and lived his life accordingly. He was a hard worker, and dedicated much of his life to helping others, and welcomed others into his home unconditionally. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, and socializing with people. He was a talented self-taught guitar player who found much joy and contentment in playing. But most of all, Ray found joy in spending time with family.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances R. (Shearer) Waldenville; his daughter, Heather D. (Darren) Waldenville, of Ford City; and son, Jeremy R. (Bonnie) Waldenville, of Buffalo Twp. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 4 great granddaughters, many nieces and nephews, three sisters Faith Gais, Virginia Mclachlan, and Gloria Roberts; and two brothers, Roger (Cathy) Waldenville and Gary Waldenville.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William, John, Ed, Harold & Jimmy Waldenville.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 28th at Abundant Joy Fellowship 101 Allegheny St. Tarentum, PA with Pastor Cathy Blythe officiating.
