Robert Holbein Obituary

Robert D. "Bob" Holbein, Sr., 92, of Buffalo Twp., passed away on Tuesday, September 17th, at his residence. Bob was born in Butler, on June 9, 1932, a son of the late Winona S. (Miller) and William H Holbein. Bob was a 1950 graduate of Butler High School. He went on to Grove City College where he received his degree in metallurgical engineering. He was a member of Guardian Angels Parish / Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish in Natrona Heights. He was a general superintendent at Allegheny Ludlum in Bagdad for over 35 years before retiring. Bob enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family.

Bob is  survived by his wife of 42 years, Amy (Bono) Holbein; two sons Robert (Kim) Holbein Jr., of Buffalo Twp. and Mark Holbein, of Freeport; two daughters, Carol Carson, of Buffalo Twp., and Mary Ann (Jack) Jenny, of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by seven grandchildren Clayton (Mandy) Holbein, Tyler Holbein, Brad (Roseanne) Carson, Alyssa (Bill) Carson Cadamore, Grant (Brittany) Carson, Jack Jenny and Dylan Jenny; 10 great grandchildren, sisters-in-law Donna Holbein and Nancy Holbein, brother-in-law Tom (LuAnn) Bono, the Suwan family and his dog Lollypop.

He was preceded in death by two sons Thomas Michael Holbein in infancy and John Kevin Holbein, brothers William, Rich and Paul Holbein, daughter-in-law Kim Holbein,  his father-in-law and mother-in-law John & Lola Bono, Sasi Suwan and his dogs Cream Puff and Kotton Kandi.

A private family visitation and blessing service was held.
