Robert B. McFadden

Robert B. McFadden, 92, of Sarver, passed away at 5:50 AM, Friday, December 6th, at the Butler VA Medical Center, Butler. Robert was born in Vandergrift, PA on September 12, 1932, a son of the late Esther M. (Long) Coulter and William J. McFadden. Robert was a proud US Air Force veteran. He retired from ATI (formerly Allegheny Ludlum) in Brackenridge in 1988 after 38 years of service as a metallurgist. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sarver, American Legion Post # 354 in New Bethlehem, the Sarver Vets, and the Franklin Elks # 110. He was a past President of Fawn # 2 Fire Department and also worked for the Fawn/Frazier Water Authority. Robert enjoyed traveling to Florida, hunting and going to camp. Robert is survived by two sons, Barry (Lois) McFadden of Sarver and Kevin (Tracey) McFadden of Adrian, 3 grandchildren, Robert McFadden, Morgan (Evan) Bowser and Jessica (Jeff) Kolish, a great granddaughter, Kailey Kolish and a brother, James (Barbara) McFadden of Vandergrift. Per Robert's wishes, there will be no public visitation. A graveside service with military honors will be held at a later date at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
