Robert E. Younkins, 85, of the Clinton section of South Buffalo Twp., passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Fair Winds Manor in Winfield Twp. Born in Kittanning on March 20, 1935, a son of the late Florance A. (Shumaker) and Thomas A. Younkins. Bob served in the US Army as a military police officer. After his service to his country, he came back home to Clinton and took a job at Allegheny Ludlum Steel in Brackenridge until retirement. Bob was a member of Clinton United Presbyterian Church in South Buffalo Twp. He joined the Armstrong Lodge #239 Freeport in 1961 and had served as chairman of the education committee and past Worshipful Master, tutoring many in the degrees of Freemasonry. Bob also enjoyed going to his camp, hunting, reading and working at his Masonic Lodge. He was a life time member of the Ford City Eagles #606 Bob is survived by many cousins and friends. Family and friends will be received on Monday March 22nd from 5-7 pm in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc., 524 High St. in Freeport. A Masonic Service will be held in the in the funeral home at 7pm following the visitation. A private burial will be held in McVille Union Cemetery in South Buffalo Twp.
