Robert P. Ziemkiewicz, 77, of Valencia, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 11, 2021 at St. Barnabas Nursing Home in Gibsonia. Bob was a long time resident of Buffalo Twp. Bob was born in Natrona Heights on July 7, 1943, a son of the late Regina (Szymkiewicz) and Henry P Ziemkiewicz. He was a 1961 graduate of Har-Brack High School. After high school he joined the US Army Reserves and was stationed with the New Kensington USArmy Reserve Unit. Bob worked as an operator in the AOD department at Allegheny Ludlum Steel in Brackenridge for 32 years, he retired in 2005. He was a former member of St. Mary, Mother of God Church in Freeport. When he and his wife moved to Valencia, they joined Saint Kilian Parish in Cranberry Twp. Bob was a Corvette enthusiast and a past member of the Corvette Club of Western PA. He enjoyed working on cars, watching the Steelers and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Bob is survived by his wife of 52 years, Frances R. (Arevalo) Ziemkiewicz. Two sons Jeffrey R. (Kristin) Ziemkiewicz, of Sarver and Gregory M. (Traci) Ziemkiewicz, of Ambridge. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Logan, Kailyn,Caleb,Joshua and Maria Ziemkiewicz. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, son Christopher P. Ziemkiewicz and his sister, Kathi Marasia. At the family's request there will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Friday, January 15th at St. Mary, Mother of God Church in Freeport, PA with Rev. Fr. Gilbert Gente officiating. Burial will be held in Mt. Airy Cemetery in Natrona Heights, PA.
