Roger Sweeny Obituary

Roger W. Sweeny of Freeport passed away on December 31, 2021, unexpectedly of cancer at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights. Roger was born on July 7, 1949, to the late Fred C. and Jane (Stewart) Sweeny and was raised in the Freeport and South Buffalo Twp., area. Roger's love, compassion, and the support he provided to his mom was unsurpassed. His friends and family know this, as he shared the same love with them as well. He was a great, great guy. Roger was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Freeport. His interests included books, films (James Dean) sports, (Troy Aikman) and spending time with his family and friends. Roger is survived by his sister, Deborah (Thomas) Keyes of Canandaigua, NY and Denise Sweeny (Howard Barash) of New York City. His nephew, Addison Sweeny-Barash and many cousins and their families, too numerous to list but much loved by Roger. Roger also leaves behind the greatest friends imaginable, who shared his humor, joys and love for many years. He was truly blessed to have so many wonderful people in his life and you all know who you are!
