Ronald Hanna Obituary

Ronald E. Hanna, 84, of Sarver, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at his residence.

Ronald was born in Natrona Heights, on August 14, 1941, a son of the late Esther (Rogers) and Charles W. Hanna.

He was the loving husband of Margaret (Voltz) Hanna.

Ronald was a 1959 graduate of Freeport High School. Following graduation, he proudly served in the United States Navy for four years. After his honorable discharge, he began a long career in the glass industry, working for Liberty Mirror for more than 30 years.

Ron was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sarver and was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed working with his hands and spending time outdoors, particularly hunting, fishing, and boating. One of his proudest accomplishments was building the family camp in East Brady from the ground up. Ron also cherished time spent playing games with his family and was known for his great sense of humor and love of joking with those around him.

He is survived by his wife and his children, Jennifer (John) Pavlick, of Sarver, Ronald C. (Jill) Hanna of Mars, Sharon (Jeremy) Scherer of Chicora and Lynette (Christopher) Buehner of Irwin. He is also survived by his 11 beloved grandchildren, Allyson and Ethan Pavlick, Reese, Olivia and Benjamin Hanna, Mackenzie, Isabelle and Max Scherer and Brady, Caitlyn and Ava Buehner.  

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Lorraine Hanna and brother, Charles M. (Barbara) Hanna.  

 Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc., 524 High Street, Freeport. Additional visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 10-11 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 409 Sarver Road, Sarver. A funeral service will follow at 11 am with Pastor Shawn Smith officiating.

Burial will be held in Freeport Cemetery, Freeport.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Sarver.
