Roy E. Stover, 93, of South Buffalo Twp , passed away on October 20th, while in the company of family members, at his home. Roy was born in Natrona Heights on July 20, 1931. He was the son of the late Ernest Stover and Kit (McMasters) Stover. He graduated from Freeport High School and enlisted in the Army, serving during the Korean War. Roy worked for Wean United Corp. in Vandergrift as an overhead crane operator. He then went on to work for the Armstrong Housing Authority in Freeport and also drove bus for Bill Clepper for many years. He was a member of Srader Grove United Presbyterian in South Buffalo Twp. for over 50 years. He was very involved at his church being a past Elder and taking care of all the church maintenance. Roy was also a long time member of the South Buffalo Twp. Vol. Fire Dept. Aux. and Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed hunting, camping, traveling, cutting grass and spending time with his family. Roy is survived by his 2 daughters, Debbie (Ken) Boroski, of Freeport , Michelle Anto, of TN and daughter in law, Janine Stover, of South Carolina, 10 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother Tom (Donna) Stover of Sarver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Crytzer) Stover, son, Kenneth R. Stover, 3 brothers, Paul, Dean and Dale Stover and a sister, Janet Toy. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. in Freeport. Funeral service will be held at the Srader Grove United Presbyterian, in South Buffalo Twp. at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, with Pastor Adam Clever officiating. Burial will be held in Slate Lick Cemetery Kittanning, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to; Srader Grove United Presbyterian Church 108 Srader Grove Rd. Freeport, PA 16229
