Sally H. (Hill) Smith

Sally H. Smith, 73, of South Buffalo Twp. passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at UPMC Passavant - McCandless, PA. Sally was born in Natrona Heights on December 27, 1949, a daughter of the late Virginia I. (VanDyke) and Raymond L. Hill. Sally was the widow of James J. Smith, who passed in 2005. She was a 1967 graduate of Freeport Area High School and Lenape Vo Tech School. Sally worked as a dining room manager for over 17 years at the Fox Chapel Golf Club. Sally and her family raised and showed miniature horses for many years. She enjoyed sewing, working around her home and in her yard and spending time with her family and friends. Sally had a strong faith in God and faithfully attended Holy Innocents Anglican Church in Leechburg, PA. Sally is survived by her son, Christopher R. and Brandi Smith, of Butler, PA. 3 grandchildren Madison, Maycie & Chrislyn "Monkey". She is also survived by her brother, Sidney R. and Kathleen Hill, of South Buffalo Twp. and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Sally is preceded by her sister Annette J. Pirrone, and brother Paul E. Hill.  Family and friends will be received on Monday, September 25th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St in Freeport, PA. Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday the 26th in the funeral home. A private family burial will be held at Lawn Haven Burial Estates in Worthington, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association 1100 Liberty Avenue, Suite E-201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
