Sandra L. (Stroup) Kowal

Sandra L. Kowal, 72, of New Kensington, passed away on Wednesday, May 19th, 2021, peacefully, at her residence. Sandra was born in Natrona Heights, on April 27, 1949, a daughter of the late Betty (Fagart) Shearer and J. Russell Stroup. She was a 1967 graduate of Har-Brack High School. She was the manager at the Mister Donut in Springdale for many years.  Later, she became the manager at the Subway in Springdale. She enjoyed watching her favorite tv shows and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. 

Sandra is  survived by her three sons Scott (Deanna) Ganss, of Gibsonia, Robert Ganss, Jr., of New Kensington, and Matt (Jamie) Ganss, of Brackenridge. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; her sister Sue (John) Shearer, of Natrona Heights; and her friend and caregiver Gayle (Brad) Hazlett.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dennis Kowal. 

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, May 22nd from 5-8 p.m. in the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc. 524 High St. in Freeport.
