Sharon E. Snyder, 72, of Freeport, passed away on Wednesday, August 9th, at Armstrong Co. Memorial Hospital in Kittanning. Sherry was born in Natrona Heights, on September 5, 1950, a daughter of the late Mable I. (Waldenville) Nicewonger and Gerald W. Johns, Sr. Sherry was a 1968 graduate of Kiski High School. She worked as a secretary at Freeport Elementary School for a number of years. She was a member of Rosston Chapel in Rosston, PA. She enjoyed listening to her husband play music and going to their camp in Brockport. Sherry loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Sherry is survived by her husband of 33 years, Donald L. Snyder, Sr.; her son, Steven K. Blondeaux, of Delaware; grandchildren Kyra E., Kacie L., LeeRoy J. and David Blondeaux, three brothers, Gerald Johns, Jr., Robert G. (Sue) Johns, and Randy L. Johns, all of Freeport; three sisters, Nancy (Lewis) McWilliams, of New Kensington; Catherine Switzer, of Arnold and Rhonda (Brian) Richardson, of Natrona Heights; stepsons Donald Snyder Jr., of Sarver, Richard Snyder, of New Kensington and Michael Snyder, of Sarver.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband David E. Blondeaux, her son Brian S. Blondeaux and stepson Jeffrey Snyder.
There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held in the Rosston Chapel 169 Rosston Circle, Ford City, on Saturday August 19th, at 1 p.m. with her brother Gerald Johns officiating. A private family burial will be held in Brookland Cemetery.
