Shirley L. Shick, 90, of Sarver, passed away on Monday, May 20th, at Magnolia Place of Saxonburg.
Shirley was born in Natrona Heights, PA on June 12, 1933, a daughter of the late Rosetta (Aikens) and Homer Rowan.
Shirley was a loving wife and homemaker. She was a member of the former Lighthouse Fellowship Church in Sarver. Shirley enjoyed bowling, reading, puzzles, attending church with her husband and traveling. Visiting Ireland with her family was a favorite vacation memory for Shirley.
Surviving are her loving husband of 72 years, Rev. Richard L. Shick, her son, Richard L. Shick, Jr. and wife Debra of Union, OH, her daughters, Penny and husband Rev. Rick Tonet of Natrona Heights, Pamela Rearick and husband David of Cabot and Shelly Kerr and husband Patrick of Freeport, 11 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Kristian Shick, and her siblings, Frank Rowan, Howard Rowan, Clair Rowan, Marion "Bonnie" Lesney and Betty Hutcheson.
Visitation and services were held privately at the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc., 524 High Street, Freeport.
Private interment was held at Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
