Stephen J. Sekeras, Jr., 78, of Buffalo Twp. passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022, while surrounded by his family, at UPMC St. Margaret in Pittsburgh. Steve was born in Natrona on August 20, 1943, a son of the late Helen R. (Lefchik) and Stephen J. Sekeras, Sr. Steve was a 1961 graduate of HarBrack High School. Steve joined the US Army Reserves and served as an MP, stationed at Fort Gordon, GA. He worked as a foreman at Allegheny Ludlum Steel in Brackenridge for 35 years and retired in 2001. Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at his family cabin. He enjoyed vacationing at Diamond Beach in New Jersey and playing golf once a year with his good friend, Max. Steve's greatest pleasure was spending time with his grandkids. He was a longtime member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish-St. Joseph Church in Cabot. Stephen is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia L. (Gidos) Sekeras. His three daughters, Amy L. Heavner, Julie A. & Scott Hess and Jodi L. & Dan Condron, all of Buffalo Twp. 4 grandchildren, Aven Heavner, Aubrey, Avelyn and Andrew Hess. Steve is also survived by his sister, Loretta (Robert) Muir, of Kittanning and his brother, Eugene (Diane) Sekeras, of Buffalo Twp. Steve is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Angel Jo Hess, his sister, Dolores M. Baer, niece, Patricia Sekeras, and brother Ernest Sekeras. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, April 27th from 5-8 pm in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. in Freeport. Funeral service will be held 8 pm on Wednesday evening in the funeral home with Father Ward Stakem officiating . The family requests memorial donations to Shriners Hospitals for Children P.O.
