Suella J Lindell (Sue), 82, passed away in her home surrounded by loved ones. She was the daughter of the late Richard G Rogers and Catharine (McDivitt) Rogers. Sue lived in Freeport all her life and loved her home where she and her husband had lived for 55+ years. She loved Freeport. Her parents also were lifelong residents of the community. Delivering meals on wheels was a part of her community life. Sue was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport. Being a caring and loving wife and mother was an important part of her life. Sue was a 1957 graduate of Freeport High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education from Slippery Rock University. Sue was a teacher at the Freeport Jr. High School before the birth of their son. She was employed part time at Manheim Pittsburgh, Auto Auction, (Her “fun” job) for 22 years. Sue was very active in many activities. She was a very accomplished equestrian and found horseback riding very enjoyable, especially fox hunting with the Rolling Rock Hunt Club where Sue achieved her “colors” of which she was very proud. She also competed and showed in many equestrian events. Motorcycling with her husband was a major part of their lives. She got her first “Harley” at the age of 60 years old. They attended many H.O.G. Rallies and biker events. They enjoyed their “retirement” years biking together. Yoga was an important part of her life along with walking the streets of Freeport, and a member of Freeport College Club. Her Siamese cats along with all animals made her life a joy. Surviving is a wonderful and loving husband of 58 years, David Lindell Sr., a brother of Richard M. Roger’s of Bowling Green Ohio. A son David A. Lindell Jr. and two grandchildren, Merrick and Slater Lindell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Catharine and Dick Rogers. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport on Thursday, August 25th at 10 am with Rev. Eric Damon officiating.
