Susan G. (Schreckengost) McLaughlin

Susan G. McLaughlin, 77, of Freeport, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025. Susie was born in Freeport, on February 13, 1948, a daughter of the late Wanda L. (Howard) and Donald F. Schreckengost. She was a graduate of Freeport High School. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Freeport. Susie was a sales clerk at several independent pharmacies in the local area. She enjoyed gardening and going to sporting events and musical events involving her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Susie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Randall L. McLaughlin; her daughter, Debra (Brian) Manzi, of Sarver; 5 grandchildren, Nicholas (Lauren Alexander) Kukich, David Kukich, Christopher Kukich, Natalie Manzi and Anderson Manzi; her brother, Robert (Dianne) Schreckengost, of Freeport; and her sister, Patricia McGuigan, of Natrona Heights. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer McLaughlin-Kukich and her sister Kathie Eberle. Family and friends will be received on Friday, February 21st, from 3-7 p.m. in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. Freeport. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22nd at the United Presbyterian Church of Freeport with Pastor Adam Clever officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Freeport Library or the Freeport Meals on Wheels program.
